Future Plans: Open Aire Chapel
From time to time the subject of a chapel on the cemetery grounds has come up. A few years ago, the Board began to seriously consider the idea. A chapel would afford families a place to hold funeral or memorial services (especially during inclement weather), but also provide a place to quietly reflect in the serene surroundings. The Board desired for the chapel to ‘fit in’ with the natural surroundings. Local architect, Matt Savoie, of Savoie Architects, P. A. kindly donated his time and expertise to design an open aire chapel that more than fulfilled the goals of the Board. A fund-raising campaign is planned and will be announced on this site. The board always welcomes constructive comments.
