The 109-year-old cemetery is located at 1466 S County Highway 393 in Santa Rosa Beach. Approximately 180 veterans are interred in the cemetery and are honored in this service.
Gulf Cemetery traditionally hosts public events twice at year – a Memorial Day ceremony on Memorial Day as well as Wreaths Across America in December each year.
Our next event at Historic Gulf Cemetery is ‘Wreaths Across America’ on Saturday, 19 December 2024 at 11:00 am to remember and honor our veterans. The event includes the laying of remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
We appreciate all the volunteers who help us lay wreaths at graves each year and who helped tidy up the cemetery in preparation for the event.
